Senate Armed Services Committee clears FY27 NDAA

The Senate Armed Services Committee voted 18-9 to advance its FY27 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The bill does not include any concerning amendments for credit unions. In advance of the committee markup, America’s Credit Unions wrote to the committee urging it to:

  • Maintain the nominal lease policy for credit union branches on military bases;
  • Reject any amendments to alter the current payments or interchange system.

The House Armed Services Committee advanced its version last week, also without any concerning amendments.
