Government shutdown assistance

A lapse in federal government funding, for any period of time, can have far-reaching consequences on consumers and communities. The credit union difference was on full display during the recent government shutdown, as credit unions provided assistance to members whose financial well-being was put at risk.  America’s Credit Unions, together with leagues and other partners, worked to support the industry and advocate for the government to restore stability for consumers.  Our outreach efforts are shared below.
