America’s Credit Unions addresses Biden campaign withdrawal

America’s Credit Unions released this statement following President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from seeking reelection.

“America’s Credit Unions is committed to our advocacy efforts on behalf of credit unions and the members they serve,” stated President/CEO Jim Nussle. “As the general election cycle unfolds and changes emerge, our engagement with elected officials and candidates will continue to ensure focus on empowering credit unions to better meet the needs of Main Street America.”

America’s Credit Unions does not take a stance on the presidential race but recognizes the potential impact to Congressional races across the country. The organization’s legislative and political teams—together with Leagues and credit unions—will continue to advocate for members through this election cycle, ensuring constant focus on credit union issues.

Stay tuned for additional developments and ways to engage in Congressional races as the election approaches.
