This week: Congress returns for lame duck session, NCUA meeting agenda, and comments due on call report changes
Congress returns to Washington, D.C., this week for the lame duck session. On the agenda is legislation to fund the federal government that must be passed before current funding expires December 20, as well as reauthorization of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which Congress must pass before the end of the year.
America’s Credit Unions is monitoring ND AA discussions and continues urging lawmakers to reject any amendments that place new burdens and hardships on the nation’s credit unions.
The NCUA releases its Nov. 21 board meeting agenda this Thursday on the NCUA site.
Comments are due this Friday, Nov.15, to weigh in on NCUA-proposed changes to the call report which includes revisions to existing report fields and collection of several new data points.
