Master credit union business lending strategies
Business Lending Certification School provides comprehensive knowledge and skill-building opportunities to help you become a confident, reliable leader for your credit union's business lending program.
This is a structured, three-year certification program in which each year builds on the last. Participants must complete all three years to earn the Certified Credit Union Business Lending Professional (CBLP)™ designation.
- Year 1 introduces key areas within the commercial lending department, including credit analysis and NCUA regulations.
- Year 2 is divided into two tracks: the Credit Administration and Credit Analyst track. Choose the track that best suits your role's needs.
- Year 3 brings together insights gained in the first two years, culminating in the chance to earn your Certified Credit Union Business Lending Professional (CBLP) designation.

Credit union commercial lending portfolios often heavily focus on commercial real estate, but how familiar are you with other types of commercial lending products? In this workshop, focused on non-real estate loans, you will:
- Discover primary causes for business borrowing in addition to real estate acquisition and refinance
- Explore tools and analysis tips that will assist you in understanding borrowing cause
- Learn which loan products pair well with a non-CRE business borrower’s needs.
